The one thing I’ve learned from history is that nothing lasts forever.
Yeonmi Park, “What I Learned about Freedom After Escaping North Korea” (Ted Talk)
That’s why we can have hope.
A good word can do wonders..
Knowing nothing terrible can last forever helps us get through a lot. It’s what the Willow knows in the storm..
For all the bible verses about trouble (16 Prophecies), here are some speaking of hope and the good to come.

Hope is like a seed in the dark, the weight of the world on its shoulders. A smouldering fire that lights all around.

In the face of despair:
“Fix your eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:34 – Jesus)
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11
“..*He is able to do so much more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us..” -Ephesians 3:20

“..As you watched, a stone was cut out but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay, and crushed them. Then the iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold were shattered and became like chaff on the threshing floor in summer. The wind carried them away, and not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that had struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.”
(Daniel 2:31-55 —From the Daniel Dream of the Statue Prophecy/ see Prophecy: Social Injustice)

In the face of hate rising in the earth:
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Ephesians 6:12

“Do not fear sudden danger, or the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from the snare.”

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things..” -Philippians 4:8
In the face of natural disasters, pain, and disturbance:
“The leaves will be for the Healing of the Nations”
Revelation 22:2
“I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.
The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but because of the One who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.”
Romans 8:18-21

In the face of hunger and famines:

“When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfulls of broken pieces did you collect?” “Twelve,” they answered.
Mark 8:19-21
“And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfulls of broken pieces did you collect?” “Seven,” they said.
Then He asked them, “Do you still not understand?”

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
Revelation 22:12-13
In the face of the lawless world leader and his uber powerful reign:
“As you watched, a stone was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay, and crushed them. Then the iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold were shattered and became like chaff on the threshing floor in summer.
The wind carried them away, and not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that had struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
In the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will shatter all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, but will itself stand forever.”

In the face of forbidden marriages, feeling alone, misunderstood, single or lonely:

“Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if any excellence and if any praise— think on these things.“
Philippians 4:8
You’re Not Alone. The Whole Universe is in our Favor

In the face of wars & rumours of war:
“…they will beat swords to plowshares. Then they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer take up the sword against nation, nor will they train anymore for war. And each man will sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree, with no one to frighten him.” (Micah 4:3-4, Isaiah 2:4)

“Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds..” (Philippians 4:5-7)

“How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God, how vast is their sum! If I were to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand; when I awake, I am still with You.” (Psalm 139:17-18)

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
–Romans 8:35-39
